Our second week in Haiti!

First, I wanna praise God for this opportunity to be here in Port-de-Paix, Haiti We cannot wait to see what God is going to do through us while we are here! We had another wonderful week in Haiti! We are loving it here! And the Lipscombs couldn't be more prepared for us! Bible studies every night and wonderful insight and discipleship from Gordon and Angie! I Love how the Lipscombs are ALL-IN for what Christ wants for them to do as a family. Check them out here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lipscombs-in-Haiti/150627668458082

We met some really awesome people these couple weeks here!
Pastor John & Christi Barnes and their family at the House of Moses!
[House of Moses] Pastor John & Christi Barnes
We fellowship and study with this beautiful family on Thursday nights and the service has beautiful Praise and Worship along with a word that is translated as Pastor John is Preaching it! One of the most informative and beautiful services I have personally been to! Check them out here: https://www.facebook.com/theHouseOfMoses

[Example of what we see at Thursday night services with Pastor John Barnes]

Loving the evening breeze! Never knew how much of a blessing the wind was until we arrived here in Haiti! I'm not sure the temperature has been lower than 80 degrees I could be wrong, but it sure feels like 95 degrees! The good news is we are starting to get used to sweating all the time and enjoying the weather for what is it! :)

Here in Haiti they have "Cane Spiders" they can grow the size of a tuna can!
They may look scary and hurt when they bite but they are not life threatening unless in this situation, it traps you and you jump for the door hitting the toilet and the sink on your way out! Lol

[ON THE ROOF OF SONLIGHT ACADEMY]
Love going to the school and being able to look at the water its really relaxing!

                                    [FRESH WATER IN HAITI]
The water is normally in the form of a bag
And personally, it doesn't taste as well as
I would have imagined, but when sweating
And running and all that it's the best water
I've ever tasted in my life! - Erich

[Hope Vision Ministry]
This is the orphanage we accepted the Children's Ministry and IT support at!
The kids here are beautiful and each one of them love to play! Here in this photo you see these angels playing marbles! And let me tell you they can play marbles for hours! And some of them are pros!

[Hope Vision Ministry]
As for basketball my first opponent wasn't as tall as me 6' 2" but he still had some crazy dribbling skills! We have some more basketball pictures with more kids playing, but we wanted to focus on the first opponent he wasn't afraid and accepted the challenge with no FEAR! I was very proud of him

[Gabe Lipscomb]
This kid right here has my heart!
He is literally the funniest person in Haiti.
His spirit is always bright and his personality is wonderful!
And he pulls of the aviators (sun-glasses) really well!

[The Sunrise here in Haiti]
We absolutely love the sunrises in Haiti!
Thank you everyone who reads and supports us as we are ministering here in Haiti!

We Love and ask that you pray for us daily!

Our first week in Haiti!

Our first week in Haiti was a challenge, but definitely and eye opener! No A/C is a new thing for me. All the times I heard people say "I cannot believe the things we take for granted in the states". I've always thought, yeah the things. But now I know WOW the things we take for granted. Cold water to drink, Hot water to shower with, Ice cubes, Internet, Sweet tea, Dr. Pepper, pizza ok enough with that!. This week was wonderful, a couple hiccups, but all in all God had his hand in everything! Hannah and I will continue to seek God and pray for Strength, Peace, Confidence, Understanding, and most of all that our relationship with our father in heaven is strengthened every single day!
Here are the pictures of us arriving right after the flight I of course was not ready for this picture just heard Angie in the Heavens talking and looked into the center of the sun ha-ha Hannah on the other hand was so happy to get here and is always ready for pictures :)! I was ready on the third picture ;)

Hannah found a little friend in our room this week and fell in love! His name was Scooter! He didn't stay with us long we let him go to enjoy the rest of Haiti!

The water here is beautiful I met this little guy at church and we became friends! He's the kid on the street that knows where everyone is and what they're doing ha-ha he's my go to guy! He speaks a little English, but we understand each other enough to know what's up! His name is Benji!

Here is our view of the street from the house.

So randomly at church the interpreter preacher and I started beat-boxing / free-styling the kid's loved it! We connected immediately and it was a wonderful experience!

Hannah made a friend from the Hope Vision Orphange his name is Tevins He is deaf and we believe God will heal this boy while we are here! Please keep him in your prayers!

The church service here is beautiful. We are outside singing a couple songs in Creole and a couple songs in English some of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard! Pastor John Barnes Definetly lets God talk through him! Wonderful message and many more to come! Thank you so much House of Moses for making this service happen! It's very much needed! Thank you to everyone that is praying for us and supporting us! We love you all and cannot wait to hear from some of you!

We Landed in Haiti!

Hello Family, Friends, Brothers & Sisters in Christ we want to first thank everyone for the support thus far and the prayers and the love that you have shown us before and as we were leaving!
We couldn't have gotten here without the support and love from you all!

[Taking a picture on the carport at 4:45 AM]
Cody Hebner, Hannah Hebner, Erich Hebner
Right when we were taking this picture a dragonfly landed on his finger as he was taking the picture it was hilarious how it happened. Thank you Cody for bringing us to the airport and going out of your way we appreciate you more than you will know!

[6:30 AM - We boarded the plane and this has been Hannahs first time ever flying!]
She was so excited I cried on the inside seeing her face as we lifted off!

[Landed in Haiti at 12:30 PM]
So far we flew from Pensacola, Florida to Miami, Florida then from Miami, Florida to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti

After we landed in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti we were to meet Edril and he was going to fly back with us on our last flight to our side of the Island Port-de-paix, Haiti
Shortly after we found Edril at the front of the airport, he brought us quickly to our next flight! He had driven 8-10 hours to get to us and waited for us to arrive to make sure he would be there in time!

The Last airport for us to leave out of! This was the plane I took a picture of assuming it was the one we were flying on boy was I wrong, it was half the size of that one ha-ha! It was roughly a 45 minute flight that Hannah enjoyed this flight the most because of the view and the open windows!
This is the picture of the cockpit! The pilot we had was really cool, we talked the entire time. I was going to take a picture of him, But he probably would have thrown my phone out of the plane lol just kidding! He has lived here in Haiti for 7 Years he has 4 kids and said his family love it here!

As for the flights all went very well and was a really wonderful smooth flight! Hannah and I enjoyed every second of it! We will keep you posted on what's going on here in Haiti! While we play catch up and try to get internet and Settled in until next time! Love you all and thank you all for your support!
